Easthams staff provide large donation for local Food Bank
Easthams Solicitors have once again demonstrated their commitment to the local community by delivering a substantial donation of food to the Blackpool Food Bank. This generous contribution comes during a week of remarkable charitable activities by the firm’s staff, including the delivery of toys to the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal and raising £300 for Headway Blackpool through a raffle of gifts received from business partners.
Supporting the Community
The Blackpool Food Bank plays a crucial role in the community, providing vital support and emergency food to those in need across Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre. Collaborating with over 120 groups and community projects, the food bank ensures that no one goes hungry, especially during these challenging times. The organisation has delivered over 266 tonnes of food in the past year alone, highlighting the significant demand for their services.
Easthams’ Charitable Week
In addition to their food donation, the staff at Easthams Solicitors have been actively involved in other charitable efforts this week. They delivered toys to the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal, ensuring that children in need wake up to a present on Christmas morning. This initiative is part of a broader mission to support local families during the festive season.
Furthermore, the staff raised £300 by raffling gifts received from Easthams’ business partners, with the proceeds going to Headway Blackpool. Headway Blackpool is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by brain injuries, providing crucial services and rehabilitation programmes to help them rebuild their lives.
Sponsoring the Trinity Hospice Christmas Tree Appeal
Easthams Solicitors are also proud sponsors of the Trinity Hospice Christmas Tree Appeal. This initiative involves collecting and recycling Christmas trees from homes across the Fylde coast, with all proceeds supporting the hospice’s vital services. Last year, the appeal raised an impressive £27,500, thanks to the generosity of the community and the hard work of volunteers.
Raising Funds for Save the Children
Adding to their list of charitable activities, Easthams Solicitors also participated in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, raising £120. This fun and festive event helps support Save the Children’s efforts to improve the lives of children in the UK and around the world.
